Laurel Park Rally
The proposed change to create a Laurel Park 3g Pitch by elimination the natural grass surface created a massive local outcry
Rather than have protests, it was decided to have a peaceful meeting where various speakers could be heard
These speakers included members of Wokingham District Council, the local council, who had proposed the changes
We decided to video the whole event – in that way those councillors could never claim that they didn’t say what they said
The protest was successful, and no further plans have been put forward to cover playing surfaces in plastic
